Project Profile - DCHC
Federated Engineers are providing Network Operations, Design,
Messaging and Security Support to the Defense Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Center (DCHC) in
Crystal City. Daily operational support includes 30+ Windows
2003 servers to include file and print servers, MS Exchange 2003
messaging servers, UNIX servers, as well as a variety of security
related applications which include Firewalls, Network Intrusion
Detection, Secure Remote Access Service (RAS), VPN and PKI.
Projects include the design and implementation of an enterprise
level Wide Area Network (WAN), designing and building a robust
Test Lab environment, managing Microsoft Exchange messaging sites
and organizations, UNIX DNS servers, routine upgrades to existing
systems, resolving customer related trouble tickets, replacing
legacy equipment, managing security incidents, and test and evaluation
of GOTS and COTS equipment and software.
Security related responsibilities include the design and implementation
of Raptor and Pix Firewall, Cisco Secure Intrusion Detection
System (CSIDS), Secure RAS, VPN, and PKI. The ultimate aim of
the project is to establish a collaborative environment whereby
Counterintelligence Agents and Analysts can securely communicate
across multiple levels of security.
