Project Profile - Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
Federated supports General Dynamics on the Intelligence Information, Command and Control Equipment and Enhancement (ICE2) contract with on-site Systems Administration, Communications Tech support and Information Assurance engineering service to the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA’s) integrated UNIX, Microsoft, Windows Server, and mainframe environments -- spanning the SCI, Collateral, and Unclassified wide area networks.
JWICS Network Operations Center
Federated engineers analyze the routing, switching, and security requirements of the enterprise while seeking to streamline the architecture to improve performance optimization and reduce overall total cost of ownership. In addition, Federated engineers leverage their expert level knowledge with layer 2 technologies, specifically Marconi ATM switches and CISCO Ethernet switches. Our Experience with VOIP utilizing Cisco products includes dialing plans utilizing Cisco call manager, expert experience in IP networking, utilizing Juniper and Cisco hardware, and Video teleconferencing utilizing Cisco and Tandberg hardware.
Communications Tech Control
Federated provides on-site Network Technician support for the DIA Communications Maintenance Group which supports multiple complex network infrastructures and outlying DAO (Defense Attaché Offices) and Detachment offices. Primarily we are responsible for troubleshooting all communication issues on the NIPRnet, SIPRnet, and SCI networks, including all WAN issues and internal DIA circuits worldwide. Hardware and Tier-2/3 troubleshooting includes Cisco switches and routers, including: 6500, 4000, 3600, 3500, and 2900 series; configuring and troubleshooting Taclane/Fastlane encryption devices, Marconi ATM switches, and IPSec Encryption tunnels
Joint Intelligence Task Force Combating Terror (JITF-CT)
Primarily provide Tier II desktop support to DIA to include software on Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstations. The information system solutions and technical support encompasses personal computer support, applications deployment, system administration and network support with Windows 2000/XP operating systems. Typical skills include utilizing knowledge of Active Directory, software applications, security permissions, roaming profiles, creation of local admin accounts, home directories and user accounts, and support for network connectivity.
Defense Logistics Operations Center
Federated Engineers monitor Siebel Service Software and resolve Customer-related requirements (fiber/network/telephone/satellite) and trouble tickets (network/telephone/satellite), and are serving at the Liaison with Verizon which includes the coordination of ISDN and Analog phone line installation for customers within the Pentagon and National Capital Region. Additional functions include: Install/Maintain secure telephone equipment (L-3 STE, Cisco VOIP, and STU-III); and installation of Tandberg video conference equipment. Federated also maintains and operates the Defense Intelligence Agency remote site’s General Dynamics C4 Systems TACLANE and FASTLANE. |
